In Short: We process information that is needed to operate the App. We do not sell personal data and we do not share personal data for targeted advertising. We do use service providers (e.g., cloud/analytics and SMS verification) to operate the service.
1. Who We Are
Mamlitzim (ממליצים) (hereinafter: "the App", "we", "our") is an application for professional recommendations, developed and operated by kg.michael.
The App enables users to search for professionals and view recommendations.
2. What Information We Process
2.1 Information You Provide
- Phone number for verification - to send a verification code by SMS and to complete sign-in.
- Content you submit to the service - e.g., professional profile details (name, profession, city, description, tags, service radius, etc.). A professional's phone number is stored in the profile so users can contact the professional.
- Recommendation content - if you add a recommendation with text, that text is stored as part of the service.
- Preferences - e.g., city selection for search.
2.2 Information That May Be Processed Automatically / Optionally
- Contacts (with your permission) - if you grant contacts access, the App reads names and phone numbers from your device contacts to provide recommendation context (e.g., matching recommendations to your contacts). As implemented, the App does not upload your full contact list to the cloud as a "phonebook" feature.
- Usage information - we use analytics/measurement tools (Firebase Analytics) to understand usage and improve the App. This may include usage events and general technical information about the device/app version.
- On-device operational data - the App stores certain operational data locally (such as preferences, cache, and drafts) to provide a functional experience.
Important: Contacts permission is optional. If you deny it, the App will continue to function, but contact-based matching features may be limited.
3. How We Use Information
- Service operation - search, display profiles and recommendations, and provide relevant results.
- Verification and sign-in - sending verification codes and completing sign-in.
- Contacting professionals - opening phone/WhatsApp/share options on your device when you choose to contact.
- Security and abuse prevention - reducing fraud, limiting abnormal activity, and protecting the service.
- Analytics and improvement - statistical analysis of usage to improve the App.
4. Sharing Information with Third Parties
We may share information with service providers to operate the App, and in limited other cases:
- Firebase (Google) - cloud infrastructure, analytics/measurement, and required authentication components.
- Third-party SMS provider - to send a verification code to the phone number you enter.
- Device services / external apps - e.g., WhatsApp, when you choose to open them from the App.
- Legal requirement - if required by law, court order, or to protect legal rights.
We Do NOT:
- ❌ Sell personal information to third parties.
- ❌ Share personal information with advertisers for targeted advertising.
- ❌ Send unsolicited marketing messages as part of the current App implementation.
5. Information Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information, taking into account the nature of the service and associated risks. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Information Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Some information is retained for shorter periods (e.g., cache or drafts), and other information may be retained for as long as you use the service.
7. Your Rights
You may contact us with requests regarding your personal information, such as:
- Access - information about what we hold about you.
- Correction - correcting inaccurate information.
- Deletion - requesting deletion where feasible given the nature of the service and applicable law.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date appears at the top of this page.
9. International Transfers
Service providers may store and process information outside your country (e.g., via cloud infrastructure). Accordingly, information may be transferred and processed internationally.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies (Web)
If you use a web version of the App, measurement services may use cookies and/or similar technologies for operation and analytics.
11. Links to Other Sites
The App may contain links or references to external services (e.g., WhatsApp). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those services.
